
PREQUALIFICATION & ELIGIBILITY SUMMARY
In order to receive the National Balancing Commission Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing Professional Certification, the following requirements must be met:

Demonstrate possession of all required instruments and tools, along with proof of current NIST traceable calibration as outlined in the schedule below.

Provide 3 letters of recommendation from balancing clients, mechanical contractors, engineers, or project supervisors. Each reference should be willing to have a representative of the National Balancing Commission contact them for verification.

Submit final balancing reports from 3 commercial projects completed within the previous 12 months.

Possess a reputation for quality and integrity.

Have 8 years of active experience testing, adjusting, and balancing both air and hydronic systems. 2 Years of related industry experience.

Commit in writing to abide by the National Balancing Commission Code of Conduct and be subject to review and discipline by the NBC Board.

Agree to perform testing, adjusting, and balancing in accordance with currently published National Balancing Commission standards and procedures.

Successfully complete National Balancing Commission certification training and pass the written and field exams.

Agrees to protect National Balancing Commission Copyrights of all forms, procedures, standards, and training materials from non-certified individuals, except as required for publishing field reports.
QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate must have a minimum of 8 years in the business.

Candidate must demonstrate possession of all required NIST traceable calibrated instruments.

Candidate must submit 3 letters of recommendation confirming their professional experience and qualifications.

Must not have been found legally culpable of any criminal actions.
